Drew Silverman is a percussionist and composer.

“My mind is in the omniverse, my heart is in Japan, I am most inspired by how sounds and textures found in nature can merge sympathetically with sounds and textures made by machines. My family is the best.”

Our Connection : Drew and I met at a funky little bar with a tiny concert stage called The Volstead in Austin, TX where he was doing a drum and dance piece with his wife, Alyson Dolan, and I was playing a solo violin set. We were drawn to each other’s artistic style and went on to co-create the music for a dance show. We have completed three Pandemic Polyphony creations so far and are curious to see where the set leads.
